Who may use Lost and Found
You may use the platform if you can provide truthful information and follow these terms. If you are under 18, use the platform with guidance from a parent, guardian, teacher, employer, or another trusted adult.
Your responsibilities
- Post only truthful reports and claims.
- Do not claim an item that is not yours or that you did not find.
- Do not upload stolen, harmful, abusive, or misleading content.
- Do not expose sensitive personal information in public descriptions or photos.
- Use safe public locations for handover.
Reports and claims
A report may be auto-approved, held for review, rejected, edited, hidden, or removed. Claims may be approved, rejected, or kept pending based on verification details and platform safety checks.
Handover
Users are responsible for deciding whether a handover is safe and whether the claimant has provided enough proof. Lost and Found may help track the handover status, but the actual exchange happens between users.
Prohibited activity
- Using Lost and Found to sell stolen property or run scams.
- Requesting advance payments before proving possession or ownership.
- Threatening, harassing, impersonating, or exploiting other users.
- Trying to bypass moderation, access private data, or disrupt the service.
Moderation and account action
We may review content, limit features, suspend accounts, remove posts, reject claims, or report serious misuse where needed to protect users and the platform.
No guarantee
Lost and Found does not guarantee that lost items will be found, that found items will be returned, or that every user is acting honestly. Use your judgment and follow the safety guidance.
Changes to the service
We may improve, pause, or change parts of the platform as the product grows. Updated terms may be posted on this page.
