Information we collect

  • Account information, such as your name, phone number, and sign-in details.
  • Report information, such as item title, category, district, area, description, date, photos, and verification prompt.
  • Claim information, such as your claim answer, contact details, claim status, and handover status.
  • Moderation information, such as safety flags, report reasons, admin actions, and timestamps.
  • Basic technical information needed to keep the service working and secure.

What is public

Public listings may show the item title, category, area, district, date, description, and photos. Contact names and contact channels are not shown publicly.

How we use information

  • To publish approved lost and found reports.
  • To let users submit and track claims.
  • To help moderators review risky posts, claim proof, and handover progress.
  • To reduce spam, scams, duplicate posts, and unsafe activity.
  • To contact users about their reports, claims, account, or safety issues.

When contact details may be shared

Contact details may be shown to the other party after a claim is approved or when needed for moderation, support, safety, or legal compliance. We do not sell user contact details.

Photos and sensitive information

Users should cover or avoid uploading sensitive numbers, private addresses, passwords, bank details, and full document identifiers. If a risky image is reported, moderators may hide, reject, or remove it.

Data storage and security

Lost and Found uses service providers such as Supabase to store account and report data. We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.

Retention

We keep reports, claims, and moderation records for as long as needed to operate the platform, resolve disputes, improve safety, and comply with applicable obligations. Resolved reports may remain in account history.
